Tutorial

To view the Bulletin:

Go to https://franciscan.university/bulletin.
If prompted, enter your @franciscan.edu email address.
You will receive a login email from “FUS Bulletin” with the subject of “Welcome to FUS-Bulletin”. Open the email and click on the green button that says “Sign In to the Bulletin”. If your email does not look like the one in the image below, please switch to HTML view. (Some versions of Groupwise show only the plain text version of emails by default.)

The Bulletin will open in your default browser. If you would like to open it in a different browser, please copy and paste the provided URL into the address bar of your browser of choice. The login button and link are one time use only. Clicking the button twice, clicking the button and using the URL, or using the URL twice will result in an error.

You are now logged in to the Bulletin and will see the latest announcements. If you receive an error message, please make note of it or take a screenshot and press “OK”. The page may refresh and show the correct screen. If it does not, please send an email to [email protected]. Include the error message, and any helpful screenshots as well as what browser, browser version number, operating system, and device you were using when you received the error message. I will get back to you as soon as I can. Please report all errors. Repeating the login process with a different browser may work.

Common Problems

I received an error message saying, "Wrong Email or Verification Code".

Did you click or copy and paste the login link more than once? Using the same link more than once will result in this error. Please request another link by going to https://franciscan.university/bulletin and entering your email address.

I keep being prompted to sign in on the same browser, even though I have logged in before. I thought I only had to do this once a year.

There are several ways that you could be getting logged out inadvertently.

Your browser may be set to delete data every time you close and reopen it. Please check the settings or prefrences section for your browser of choice. Turn off any options that have to do with erasing browser data. If you are not sure where to locate these options please contact me ( [email protected]) and include the name and version number of your browser and operating system.
You may have a program that clears your browser data. CCleaner is a program that may be installed on your computer. You can check your desktop for an icon titled "CCleaner" to see if it is installed. Please follow these instructions to stop Bulletin login data from being erased: http://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/ccleaner-settings/choosing-which-cookies-to-keep. Look for “franciscan.university” on the list of sites to add to the whitelist. If prompted for a password to open CCleaner, please enter the password you use to log in to your computer. If that does not work contact ITS ( 740-283-4357 / [email protected]) and give them this information.
Your browser may be too old to correctly store your login information, please use another browser or update your browser. Keeping your browser up to date also provides a better user experince and increased security. (Find out if your browser is up to date: https://updatemybrowser.org/.) If you are unable to update your browser yourself, contact the ITS helpdesk ( 740-283-4357 / [email protected]).

I entered my email address, but I never received the login email.

Please take the following steps:

Check your spam folder.
Make sure you spelled your email address correctly (this is a common error).
If neither of those work, and you still have not received the email, please contact me ( [email protected]) and I can check the status of your login email.

Something doesn’t look right on the Bulletin site.

Please take a screenshot if possible and send it too ( [email protected]), or describe it in as much detail as you can. Tell me exactly what you were looking at on which browser, device, and operating system. If on a smart phone or tablet, tell me if it was in portrait or landscape mode.

Suggestions

Suggestions for new Bulletin features are welcome. Please email your suggestions to me ( [email protected]). I can’t guarantee that your idea will be implemented, but all suggestions are recorded and added to the Bulletin todo list. I review this list periodically and make updates based on it.

An example of a great suggestion that was implemented is the print version of the Bulletin. I had no idea that so many people printed the Bulletin. I received suggestions from several employees and implemented the update. If I get several people all asking for a similar feature, it usually moves up the todo list and gets implemented more quickly.
